The Rocket paddle steamers go most days of the week up and down the Brahmaputra from the harbor at Sadarghat in Dhaka. Built in the late 1920s, the four Rocket paddles steamers now run on diesel rather than steam but these beautiful old boats still ply the river daily as far as Morelgang, on the way to the Sunderbans and Bagerat. Here you can visit the 15^th century Sixty Domed Mosque, one of the most impressive in southern Asia and the largest brick built mosque in Bangladesh.
